
On July 16–17, 2025, Mr. Pornyot Klankrong, Director-General of the Department of Industrial Works, assigned Mr. Kittiphun Theparaksanakorn, Director of the Factory Environmental Management Division under the Bureau of Environmental Technology Promotion, to lead a team of assessors in conducting an on-site evaluation. The purpose of this assessment was to consider the renewal of the Green Industry Level 4 certification: Green Culture, for Zeon Advanced Polymix Co., Ltd., located in Rayong Province.
Zeon Advanced Polymix Co., Ltd., located on Highway No. 3376, Makham Khu Sub-district, Nikhom Phatthana District, Rayong Province, operates in the business of rubber compound production. The findings of the assessment revealed the following:
(1) The organization has successfully fostered a culture of environmental responsibility, energy efficiency, and workplace safety by encouraging employee participation through various internal initiatives.
These include waste separation campaigns such as the “ZAP PET Bottles for Eggs and Solar Cell Bulbs” project, energy conservation programs, and Environmental and Safety Week activities. The organization effectively communicates these initiatives through multiple internal channels, such as KYT activities, Morning Talks, Safety Talks, announcement boards, emails, and Dojo Training.
Additionally, the company conducts regular evaluations to assess the continuity of its environmental culture, including internal audits and management review meetings. The organization also supports employee engagement in proposing ways to improve individual competencies through training and development programs.
(2) The company has implemented multiple environmental, energy, and safety projects, such as:
- Energy reduction measures, including the installation of solar rooftops to promote renewable energy use,
- LED lighting replacements, and
- Installation of inverters.
The company also employs innovations to automate production processes, including:
- Automated material stacking machines,
- Robotic arms for material handling and storage,
- U-Bing transport vehicles for material testing, and
- Electronic systems for safety equipment inspection.
(3) The company has carried out various corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives, such as:
- Building tables, chairs, and volleyball courts for local schools,
- Donating calendars to foundations for the visually impaired,
- Contributing stuffed toys to children through the “Help Keeper” volunteer project, and
- Donating aluminum materials for the production of prosthetic limbs, among others.
The assessment team also provided recommendations for improvement, including:
- Reviewing and refining the organization’s environmental indicators, action plans, and targets related to carbon neutrality and net-zero greenhouse gas emissions, and
- Improving the storage and management of hazardous chemicals and unused or waste materials to ensure greater safety and compliance.
This evaluation reflects the industrial sector’s ongoing commitment to sustainability by integrating environmental, social, and economic dimensions in line with the Ministry of Industry’s Green Industry initiative. Such efforts represent a significant step toward enhancing the Thai industrial sector to be more environmentally friendly and capable of coexisting harmoniously with surrounding communities in a sustainable manner.
